Tooth-Colored Fillings

Patients of a certain age may remember when the standard for cavity treatment was amalgam fillings made from various metals. These fillings not only cast a spotlight on your dental work, but they can also cause tooth sensitivity. These days, we treat cavities with a composite resin that is precisely shaded to resemble your tooth structure. Additionally, this material is biocompatible, so it can directly bond with the enamel to protect the nerves from painful sensitivity.

Dental Crowns

If a filling isn’t enough to address a cavity, or if a tooth is at-risk for severe breakage, we can build it back up to its original full structure by “capping” it with a dental crown. Each of these hollowed-out coverings is designed to fit snugly over a compromised tooth, enabling you to easily chew without discomfort. While crowns can be made from durable metals like gold, we can also provide metal-free crowns that are tailor-made to blend in with the rest of your pearly whites.

CEREC One-Visit Dental Crowns

At most dental offices, you have to schedule two separate appointments to get a crown: one to prepare the tooth, and another to place the crown. These visits are several weeks apart, so they’re often difficult to fit within a patient’s schedule. At Complete Dentistry in Trophy Club, we’ve made the process much easier by using CEREC technology. After preparing your tooth, our special software designs the crown, our in-house milling machine fabricates your restoration from a block of ceramic, and then we immediately place it in your mouth. The whole thing only takes about one to two hours!

Root Canal Therapy

If a terrible toothache has been making it hard to smile, then the inside of your tooth might be infected. Left untreated, the infection could worsen to the point where the tooth needs to be extracted. Fortunately, we can often save it with root canal therapy. We’ll remove the diseased tissue from the tooth’s center, fill it back up with synthetic material, and place a crown for protection. Despite the horrid rumors associated with root canals, most patients are pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the procedure is.

Tooth Extractions

We will do whatever we can to preserve your natural teeth for life. Sometimes, though, an extremely decayed or damaged tooth can put your surrounding teeth at risk unless we remove it entirely. If we determine that a tooth extraction is the best option for your oral health, rest assured that we’ll make your procedure and your recovery as smooth and painless as possible.
