Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Sadkin has loved dentistry from a very young age, and it all started when she got braces. She was fascinated by everything that the orthodontic process involved, which eventually led her to shadow the same dental office starting in her freshman year of high school. As shew grew older, she realized that it was the perfect career for her because it blended her passions for medicine and art! Today, she continues to find this job amazing and rewarding in new ways.
Where Did You
Study Dentistry?
After attending Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Dr. Sadkin pursued her dental doctorate at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, graduating near the top of her class. She considered specializing but decided that she didn’t want to restrict her interests to just one part of dentistry. Instead, she completed an intensive AEGD program at the Western NY VA hospital, which was heavily based on prosthodontics, dental implants, and full mouth rehabilitation.
Continuing education is still a big part of Dr. Sadkin’s ongoing growth! She is certified in Invisalign and an active member of several dental organizations, including the following:
Highland Park Study Club (a chapter of the Seattle Study Club)
American Dental Association
Texas Dental Association
Academy of General Dentistry
